I came I saw and...I left

Well I'm leaving Guinea and Peace Corps.

I know I know all the hype and 9 months later I'm bailing. Well I tried my hardest and worked my buns off to make this work and you know what? If the shoe doesn't fit...it hurts to walk in it.

The long and the short of it is I am so grateful for the last 9 months, I have learned a zillion things about myself, America, Africa, and what a 3rd world country is really like. But it would not serve me, the Peace Corps or my village any good for me to stay longer.

Moving on, I have not a whole lot planned for my return to the States, so if your couch or guest room is looking a little empty and would like to fill it will a real live Rasa, I'm free. (kidding, kinda)

I have accepted a position on the Summer 2007 Semester at Sea voyage of Central and South America. www.semesteratsea.com (for more info) I'm so unbelievably excited I really do wish is was June already. So I will probably temp until then b/c I don't know too many employers who want to give new employees 2 1/2 months off.

Ok so I'll be home sweet home (at my mother's house in PA) by the end of the week. Feel free to call, if you don't have the number email me and I'll send it to you. Gotta go I'm brain dead I've been up since 5 or so.

Cheers,
Rasa
