Where is home?

I just re-read my last post seems weird to me. I guess the nostalgia of living in the US has worn off or I'm more confused now then ever on what to do next.

Luckily for me I don't really have to consider what to do until September..however that also is a source of anxiety b/c I don't know what I want for September...and for that matter where. I still feel I'm open to the possibility of working anywhere as long as it's the right position...then again how do I know if "it" is the right job at all. Yeah, can you see why I feel perhaps I'm going mad! At the same time I want to go back to Seattle so badly...but I don't know exactly what I would do once I got there...again I already did that and it worked out fine..now that I'm much more connected to the area it would be easier to get set up...you can see how I could be considered insane...or is this just what every 26 year old goes through? Brittany Spears' shaved head is looking less and less weird everyday.

So, to focus on the shorter more exciting run of things vs. the long run and at this point undefined plan. 74 days and counting until I get on the ship for Semester at Sea...this job has single handedly kept me out of the loony bin. So needless to say I'm excited about going and all the opportunities and adventures that await!!!!!

But the fun doesn't start there...for 3 weeks prior to reporting for duty I have a fantastic vacation planned. I will be going to Key Largo to visit my grandfather with my mom and sister...just like our family vacations from before in Ocean Reef there will be much lounging around the water and sipping Pina Colatas (now that we're all legal no more virgin drinks necessary). As they head back to their respective lives in Philly and Pittsburgh I will be off to California to visit with my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin in Los Gatos!!!! Wren, my cousin, will have just graduated from high school the weekend before so tons of excitement to behold in that house! Also I will be visiting with my fellow Semester at Sea alum, Nicole and her dear daughter Kayla..who's 2 1/2...and I haven't seen either of them since Kayla was a few months old!!! SO EXCITED!!! Then, my dear friend Kathryn from the Peace Corps will wisk me off to Northern California to explore the great city (and her home town) of Chico. And by explore...I mean lounge by the pool of the house she's taking care of...hard luck right?

Now I'm sure you're thinking...tough life Ras why are you stressing about a job? Good point. I actually love to work and have since I started at my first job with Sneaker Villa in Reading (BTW they are doing so great I'm so proud to have been apart of that organization at the beginning!). So, I would love to gainfully employed with a company I could set down roots with...so if you have any ideas, leads, or contacts for me I'm all ears.

Ok, I'll keep you all updated as things progress into the exciting stuff. I do apologize if I haven't been in great contact since I came home from Guinea but honestly it's to hard to relate these days...so it's not you it's me and eventually I'll snap out of it and be a much better communicator..eventually.

Cheers,
Rasa
